Running shoes

In 2012, I plan to run a bunch. I really want to attempt to become a marathon runner. Not sure if I am cut out for it but I will try. I have signed up for a couple of runs in my area. I am running the Hot Chocolate 15k in February. It is supposed to be a great run and fondue at the end. Sounds yummy! I then will run a half marathon in March. It is called the Rock and Roll half. This makes me a little nervous. I mean short distances are not that bad but 13.1 miles. sheesh. However, I am determined to complete run a better time then when I ran a half 2 1/2 years ago.  This leads me to a very important things.....

SHOES!!

I need new running shoes. I have to be prepared, that is what I tell me self when I go shopping for these shoes. I actually want 2 pair. LOL because of course I will run in both pair. :)

I have always been Brooks girl because they fit my feet so well. However, I want to branch out and let my feet feel the cushion of another shoe. Unfaithful to the brooks??? We shall see

  2. Thanks for the comment! I am excited about the two runs. The Hot Chocolate is at the Cotton Bowl I think. I do not see a race course yet. I hear the rock and roll is a great half to run.http://www.hotchocolate15k.com/dallas/

  4. Me too! I just started running in late 2010. I ambled through my first 5k this year, but next year I want to get faster before I up my distances. Good luck with the half marathon! I'm sure it will be great, especially with fondue at the end! Also welcome to the world of blogging! :)

  5. Faith- thanks for the comment. When I started running I had a love hate relationship. I loved the way I felt at the end of the run and being I shape but hated the actual running part. Now Iits all about even. I started with fun runs which made it better. Good luck on the running.

    Terri,

I love 5k's because they are fun and you feel great! Thanks for the comment. I am looking forward to the fondue. :)
