In Cape Town we had the opportunity to meet with old friends. It was a blast catching up after many years. My mother met up with her friend that she has knew from living in Belgium. The view from the house was amazing. You looked straight up at Table Mountain. I could take in that view daily.
Then I got a chance to meet up with a friend of mine from highschool. It is great how even though time has passed some things stay the same. We met up and it was like we were in Bangkok again( I went to school in Bangkok, Thailand). So many of my friends from high school live abroad and are difficult to meet up with. We set on a balcony at Camps Bay( a local beach). I ate some of the best calamari that I have had in my life! Just thinking about it makes me want to fly back and enjoy the calamari. At Camps Bay the wind is so fierce. I thought it was going to blow me away. It is common for the restaurant to have several blankets for the customers. Of course, I had to have one I was freezing. :)
See Table Mountain in the back. Just beautifal!!
Before we went to dinner.

ReplyDeleteI love Camps Bay! Sigh...I wouldn't mind being there right now considering we're having such cold weather here in NYC. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen a place gets crowded enough to require ID's, social collapse is not far away. It is time to go elsewhere. The best thing about space travel is that it made it possible to go elsewhere.
